"Moon racing" gray leather watch strap
Racing straps take their origin in the 60s - 70s when they were used for carrying racing drivers' chronographs. Perforated leather straps embrace the aesthetics of a racing car that had perforations in its metal elements for weight reduction. This collection is a tribute to The Golden Age of motorsport. Racing straps will make your watch pop with its simple, vintage aesthetic, adding character and highlighting the style.
Each strap is carefully handcrafted of two layers of fine Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
It is firm, pliable, and durable at the same time. The top layer is made of aniline dyed full-grain leather that retains all the natural structure and looks.
The lining is made of undied full-grain cowhide Italian veg tan leather treated with oil and wax compound for additional protection.
This type of leather is well known for its durability and with proper use, the strap can last a lifetime. With years you will love it even more as you will be able to admire the gorgeous natural patina, which gives such a lovely vintage look and adds more class and character to the beloved timepiece.Aesthetically pleasing, and lightweight, this strap is a perfect choice for any occasion, no matter if it's a shadow run or everyday wearing. Since the strap has a perforation (which increases ventilation), it can be used even during the summer, as it lets your skin breathe.
The edges of the strap are hand-burnished. Burnishing is a technique of making rough leather edges smooth and sealed using wax compounds and wood slicker. As a result - the edges are smooth and shiny.
The THICKNESS of the strap is 2.6mm - 3mm
PLEASE, KEEP IN MIND THAT DUE TO THE DIFFERENT COLOR BALANCE OF THE SCREEN COLOR OF THE STRAP MAY LOOK SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT.
